Five stocks end week lower
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index slid 35.25 points, or 3 per cent, last week to close at 1,174.10.
Ascendant Group, the parent company of Belco, suffered the heaviest decline as its shares dropped $1.09, or 19.8 per cent, to end at $4.41 after 1,954 were traded.
HSBC Bermuda shares fell by 50 cents, or 7.93 per cent, to close at $5.80 after 417 were exchanged.
KeyTech shares dropped 14 cents, or 3.7 per cent, to close at $3.61 after 3,200 changed hands, while Butterfield Bank was down five cents, or 3 per cent, at $1.64 after 155,088 shares were exchanged.
Argus Group ended the week down five cents, or 1.3 per cent, at $3.95, after 8,000 shares were traded.
Bank of Butterfield preference shares improved by $49.99, or 5 per cent, to close at $1,050 after 25 changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the week up 8.54 points, or 0.53 per cent, at 1,617.89.
