Butterfield shares slip 0.2%

Butterfield dominated BSX trading

Butterfield Bank shares slipped 0.2 per cent today, as the bank dominated trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The bank closed at $25.10, down 5 cents, as 25,930 shares traded, the day after it announced a $24 million third-quarter profit.

Butterfield’s shares on the New York Stock Exchange remained unchanged on $25.50.

KeyTech Ltd, the telecommunications group, was the only other issuer to trade, with its shares remaining unchanged on $2.50 as 3,400 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 2.25 points, or 0.14 per cent, to close on 1,617.14. Trading volume was 29,330 shares and turnover totalled $659,330.
