Bank of Butterfield shares went up 25 cents to $33.50 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The move, equal to 0.8 per cent, came after 1,466 shares traded.

Insurance company Argus dropped 10 cents, or 2.3 per cent, to $4.25 after 19,930 shares moved.

Telecoms company One Communications gained four cents, or 1.9 per cent, to $2.15 after 20,438 shares sold.

Insurance firm BF&M was unchanged at $21 after 1,400 shares changed hands.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the Bank of Butterfield went up 22 cents, or 0.65 per cent, to $33.94.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 9.79 points, or 0.49 per cent, at 2,021.93.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 2.97 points, or 0.16 per cent, at 1,911.84.
