Argus shares climb more than 15%
Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd surged 15.5 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The insurer gained 51 cents to close at $3.81 on the trading of 17,000 shares.
Rival insurer BF&M Ltd also gained ground, rising 55 cents, or 2.9 per cent, to close on $19.55 as 7,100 shares changed hands.
Three other stocks saw trading activity without price changes. Watlington Waterworks Ltd remained on $26.15 as 6,300 shares were traded, One Communications closed unchanged on $4.05 as 115 shares changed hands and Butterfield Bank remained on $33.41 as 43 shares traded.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell 86 cents, or 2.52 per cent, to close on $33.30 on the New York Stock Exchange.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index added 15.84 points, or 0.75 per cent, to close on 2,141.61. BSX trading volume was 30,558 shares, while turnover totalled $369,504.01.
The BSX Insurance Index climbed 46.08 points, or 2.91 per cent, to close on 1,632.1.
In two filings with the BSX, One Communications Ltd, said it had repurchased 4,400 of its own shares on November 23 and a further 1,000 shares on November 24, all at an average price of $4.05 for immediate cancellation.
