Andre Lambe will rest his American Boxing Organisation welterweight title on the line when he steps between the ropes to face American Kenny Paklos in the headline event at The Shed in Dockyard on March 30.

The 28-year-old southpaw successfully defended his title with a majority decision over Mexican Sergio García Herrera at the same venue last October.

The triumph extend Lambe’s flawless record among the professional ranks to ten victories and he will now take on Paklos, whose professional record stands at a perfect 3-0, in a six-round welterweight bout as both fighters seek to preserve their unblemished records at this level.

Lambe revealed in a recent interview with The Royal Gazette that he has big plans in store for this year as he intends to take the first steps on an ambitious journey he hopes will lead to a shot at a world title.

“As of right now we are in a good position in our ranking [145], so now I have the ability to start pushing for junior world titles, which is what I need to be able to get a world title,” he said.

“So that’s going to be our first step this year, going towards a junior world title.”

The welterweight plans to move up from the American Boxing Organisation to either the World Boxing Organisation, World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council or International Boxing Federation level this year.

Next month’s event at The Shed will also feature a host of other bouts on the undercard yet to be announced.
