Bermudian Max Tetlow is rejoining the Bermuda office of Appleby as partner.

He began his legal career with Appleby in 2014 and spent four years with the firm before moving to Australia to work for a leading law firm in its corporate/M&A/capital markets team for several years, and then moving to another offshore firm, first in London and then in Bermuda.

Mr Tetlow is joining Appleby’s insurance team and corporate practice on November 1.

Appleby said: “Max brings a wealth of corporate and insurance experience, having advised on all matters relating to Bermuda entities, including exempted, permit and segregated accounts companies as well as partnerships.

“His practice includes corporate structuring and governance, equity and debt issuances, joint ventures, listings, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, restructuring, regulatory compliance and licensing advice with a focus on the insurance, financial services and investment funds sectors.

“Max has also advised insurance companies and intermediaries on insurance transactions, regulatory capital issuances, strategic acquisitions and exits.

“His expertise extends to advising local and international clients on matters relating to lending, structured finance (including insurance-linked securities), fund finance, asset finance and debt capital markets.”
