A Pembroke man has been charged with possessing a gun and more than $20,000 of drugs.Jakai Harford, 28, was arrested on January 8 after Police raided a home in the St Monica’s Road area of Pembroke and seized a loaded gun, cocaine, cannabis and cash.He has remained in police custody since, and was charged yesterday with possessing $14,906 worth of cocaine and $5,300 worth of cannabis with intent to supply them January 8. He is further charged with possessing drug equipment in the form of a scale and some plastic bags.The gun charges allege that Harford possessed a Bryco Jennings 9mm handgun and 9mm bullet, or alternatively that he handled those items.He was not required to enter pleas as the matter must be dealt with at Supreme Court. His lawyer Craig Attridge made no application for bail and he was remanded into custody until an administrative hearing at Magistrates’ Court on February 9.
