Man denies drugs, gun possession

A Sandys man yesterday denied possessing firearms, ammunition and drugs.Christoph Duerr, 25, from Seawall Drive, pleaded not guilty to several offences during an appearance in Supreme Court.Mr Duerr is charged with possessing two firearms and two different kinds of ammunition — 14 rounds of .38 calibre ammunition and seven 9mm rounds — in Sandys on January 28. He further denied possessing cannabis with intent to supply on the same date.The matter was adjourned until next month, when it will again be mentioned in Supreme Court.Mr Duerr was one of several individuals who appeared during yesterday’s arraignments session.Kimlo Webb, 44, denied a charge of attempting to murder Larry Woolgar on February 26. The Pembroke resident further denied aggravated burglary on the same date and prowling around a home on Richmond Road on or about February 25.Mr Webb will remain in custody until next month when the matter will return to Supreme Court.Khyri Smith-Williams, 21, from Sandys, denied a single charge of wounding Nathanial Ingham with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on December 6.Mr Ingham sustained severe head injuries in the incident and was later airlifted to a US hospital for treatment. Mr Smith-Williams was released on bail, and will return to the courts in August for the matter to be mentioned.Wayne Eugene Smith, 46, from Pembroke, also attended arraignments, pleading guilty to charges of burglary and assaulting Rebecca Outerbridge causing actual bodily harm on March 1.Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves remanded Smith into custody pending sentencing, and ordered reports on Smith be carried out.Shakeda Davis, 28, from Devonshire, meanwhile pleaded not guilty to possessing cannabis and cannabis resin with intent to supply in connection with an incident on February 17, 2012. The matter will return to the courts in July.And a 26-year-old Pembroke man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied three counts of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl between the ages of 14 and 16.The charges relate to three separate incidents that took place between July and October last year in Pembroke. His bail was extended until next month, when he is set to return to court.
