A Supreme Court trial came to a halt this morning after a juror collapsed in court.

The incident happened moments after the jury in the trial of Alan Robinson requested a brief break at around 11am.

Paramedics attended the scene before the juror, who was conscious and responsive, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

Puisne Judge Charles-Etta Simmons adjourned the trial until next week.

Mr Robinson, 56, of Hamilton Parish, denies attempting to murder Vernica Tucker, causing her grievous bodily harm, assaulting Kevin Arorash and possessing a bladed weapon in an incident on December 11, 2012.
