A man who admitted breaking into a home was sent to the Drug Treatment Court yesterday.Magistrates’ Court heard that Leon Fough, 45, was caught after police were alerted to a burglary at a house in Ord Road, Warwick, last Friday.Police found Fough, from Southampton, in the master bedroom of the house.He was searched and two screwdrivers and a pair of gloves were found.Magistrate Tyrone Chin was told Fough admitted that he used the tools to break into the house and trespassed with intent to steal.He also admitted an attempted break-in at another house in Warwick last month.The court heard that a householder suspected that someone had attempted to break into her South Road home after she found that several windows in her home had been tampered with.She reviewed CCTV camera footage of her home on October 12 and saw a man dressed in black attempt to open a bedroom window the previous day.She alerted police, who later identified the man as Fough.Fough pleaded guilty to the attempted burglary, trespass with intent to steal and possession of tools for use in burglary.Mr Chin remanded Fough in custody and ordered him to attend a minimum of three Drug Treatment Court sessions, starting today.• It is The Royal Gazette’s policy not to allow comments on stories regarding court cases.
