A man was charged with causing the death of a motorist through reckless driving.

Christian Sousa-Matias, 23, of no fixed abode, denied the offence and chose to have the case heard in Magistrates’ Court.

Allen Trott, 46, lost his lifeafter a motorbike crash near the junction of South Road and Dunscombe Road in Warwick in September, 2021.

Magistrate Craig Attridge adjourned the case to January 30 and released Sousa-Matias on $5,000 bail.

However, Matias was already remanded into custody in November after admitted damaging property at Hamilton Police Station and remains in custody.
