Woman gets community service to after driving uninsured car

A woman was given 110 hours of community service in order to clear fines amounting to more than $2,500 for three traffic offences, including driving with no insurance.

Iesha Castle, 39, of Warwick, admitted driving with no third party insurance on September 1 last year which incurred a fine of $1,500, and driving an unlicensed car on the same day which carries a $750 of fine.

She also admitted speeding at 59 km/h on September 17 which came with a fine of a $290.

Castle will not be required to pay the fines if she completes the unpaid service to reflect their value.
