Fine for tourist who injured man
A tourist injured a man during a weekend collision, Magistrates’ Court heard yesterday.
Timi Byrne, 44, admitted causing Raymond Spence grievous bodily harm by driving a rental car without care and attention when she appeared in court.
The court heard that Byrne, from Virginia, who came to the island on the Vision of the Seas cruise ship, injured Mr Spence while driving on East Broadway on Saturday.
Mr Spence, who was riding a motorcycle, sustained four broken ribs during the collision.
Magistrate Craig Attridge fined Byrne $2,000 for the offence and ordered her to pay the sum before leaving Bermuda.
