A US national has admitted trafficking drugs to the island.

Ricardo Barnett, 31, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court yesterday to conspiring with others to import cannabis to Bermuda between an unknown date and July 30, 2025.

He also pleaded guilty to having cannabis with intent to supply on the same date.

The amount of drugs was not read aloud in court.

Puisne Judge Alan Richards adjourned the case until April 17 for sentencing and remanded Barnett, from Texas, in custody.
