Sussex still have the upper hand
Sussex remain in control of their four-day match against South Africa A at Arundel Castle, with the tourists replying to the Sussex first innings total of 458 with 151 for six at the close of day two.
Bermudian Delray Rawlins fell four runs short of a maiden first-class hundred when he was dismissed for 96 on Wednesday, before No 7 batsman Danny Briggs went on to top the Sussex batting with 120 not out from 15 fours. Sussex batted for 126.3 overs.
South Africa have just four first innings wickets intact and still trail on first innings by 307 runs. Opener Temba Bavuma was their top batsman with 63 as Will Beer claimed three for 14 from seven overs of spin bowling while Briggs, a slow left-armer, completed an outstanding day with a good spell of bowling. He gave up just 35 runs in his 20 overs, taking one wicket.
