Six homes broken into on Monday

Police are warning residents to lock doors and windows in their absence after six properties were broken into on one day.Burglaries were reported Monday in homes in Hamilton Parish, Southampton, Warwick, Pembroke and Devonshire.According to a Police spokeswoman, two of the thefts occurred in the Cloverdale Road, Devonshire area.“Overall a quantity of electronics, jewellery, cash and alcohol was taken. The public is reminded to make sure all windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended.“We also continue to recommend that all residents secure their valuables out of sight, record serial numbers of all items and take pictures of their possessions.“In particular, make note of electronic equipment and jewellery so that if they are stolen and later recovered, there is an accurate way of identifying them.”Persons who notice suspicious behaviour are asked to report it to police on 255-0011.
