Witness appeal issued after woman was ‘accosted’ in Devonshire
A woman was “accosted” by an unknown man at a Devonshire bus stop on March 8, police said yesterday, as they appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman said: “Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a female being accosted by an unknown male at a bus stop along Palmetto Road, Devonshire, in the area of Frog Lane and Roberts Avenue, between 3.45pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, March 8.
The woman was unhurt and left the area on a bus and later reported the incident.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, approximately 6’1” tall of stocky build wearing all black clothing, including a distinctive T-shirt and a scarf. No further information about the incident was given by the spokesman, who appealed for witnesses to call the main police number on 295-0011.
