Witness appeal issued for Thursday’s robbery

Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses relating to an armed robbery at a liquor store on Thursday.

A man brandishing what appeared to be a gun burst into Serpentine Liquors and grabbed cash from the till.

A female cashier was alone in the store at the time, but was unhurt.

A police spokesman said yesterday: “Inquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time regarding the incident.

“Detectives continue to appeal for anyone who was in the area of Serpentine Liquors at the time of the robbery, around 4:30pm on Thursday, March 15th, to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”
