Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a gas station last night.

The incident happened at about 10pm at the Collector’s Hill Esso station on South Road, Devonshire.

According to a police spokesman, the suspect was riding a dark-coloured motorcycle and demanded money from a staff member who was behind the cashier counter.

“The staff member noticed that the suspect placed their hands in the waist region as if reaching for something,” the spokesperson said. “However, no weapon was seen and no one was injured.”

After escaping with some cash, the suspect rode off on the motorcycle and headed west on South Road.

The suspect is described as slim, approximately 6ft 1in, and wore black clothing including a black bubble jacket and black helmet. He also wore a face mask and grey gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call acting Detective Sergeant Whitney Wilkinson. Her e-mail is wwilkinson@bps.bm.

People can also call the police reporting number at 211, the main police number, 295-0011, or share the information with an officer.
