Police arrest second person in connection with Kyari Flood murder

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of Kyari Flood, 23, whose body was discovered near Friswells Hill in Pembroke on Monday.

Police said a 19-year-old was taken into custody at 11am yesterday when officers executed a firearms warrant at a home on Dundonald Street, Pembroke.

A 20-year-old-man from Devonshire also arrested in connection with the investigation remains in police custody.

Officers from the police tactical unit, armed response, and serious crimes units were involved.

Detective Inspector Jason Smith, the senior investigating officer, said: “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their support with our investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Kyari Flood.

“However, there remains a lot of work to be done and so we are once more appealing for anyone with any information, even if you don’t think it’s important, to please get in contact with us.

“That bit of information that you have may just be what we need to bring to justice whomever is responsible for Mr Flood’s death.”
