Police have asked for the public’s help in identifying suspects from a string of burglaries.

A police spokesman said there had been a rise in break-ins in the eastern parishes over the past four months that had affected stores and residences.

He said that several burglaries were under investigation and that four were being assisted by CCTV footage.

Police said that a residence in Shell Point Road, St George’s, was targeted on February 25 at about 9.20pm.

CCTV footage showed the suspect walking around the residence and leaving the property with several items.

It is understood that he stole a water pump, a power washer and a Ring security camera.

The suspect was described as a dark-complexioned man wearing a black hat, a black jacket and matching black pants with white stripes down the sides.

Several months later, two suspects were seen on CCTV footage breaking into the Rubis petrol station at Blue Hole Hill in Hamilton Parish.

The burglars made off with a significant amount of cigarettes and other items.

The incident happened at about 3.40am on May 23.

One suspect was described as being of medium build and about 5ft 5in in height.

The suspect wore a black helmet with a red-and-white design, as well as a black Helly Hansen rain suit, blue-and-white sneakers and rider-style gloves. He carried a crowbar.

The second suspect was described as slim-built and about 6ft tall, with a black helmet, a black bubble-type jacket, burgundy sweatpants and black sneakers, and carrying a duffel-type bag.

Two men broke into the St David’s Quickie Lickie Laundromat in the early hours of June 4.

The men, who were captured on security footage, stole a quantity of cash before leaving.

One man was described as medium-built, 5ft 5in tall and wearing a black helmet, black jacket and blue sweatpants with stripes down the side while carrying a crowbar.

The second was described as slim-built and wearing a grey helmet, a black Helly Hansen jacket and blue pants, and carrying a hammer.

The Hamilton Parish Quickie Lickie Laundromat was also targeted, this time on July 7 at about 4am.

Two suspects attempted to break into the cash-dispensing machine but left empty-handed.

One was described as medium-built, 5ft 5in tall and wearing a black helmet, a dark grey or black jacket and black pants with white sneakers.

The suspect was seen carrying a black bag and a crowbar into the laundromat.

The second suspect was described as slim-built, about 6ft tall and wearing what looked to be a grey helmet, a black jacket, blue workman-type pants and work boots.

Anyone with information on any of the incidents should call Detective Sergeant Seymour Foote on 717-2282 or e-mail sfoote@bps.bm.
