Fresh appeal for witnesses to fatal 2016 shooting

Police have renewed calls for information about the murder of a teenager fatally shot in his home nine years ago this month.

A police spokesman said that Isaiah Furbert, 19, was shot at about 10pm on October 18, 2016, while inside his residence on Upland Street, Devonshire.

The spokesman said: “We wish to assure the public that any and all information provided will be treated with the strictest of confidence.

“Please, come forward and help us provide closure to Isaiah’s family and loved ones.”

Anyone with information about his murder is urged to contact the Serious Crime Unit of the Bermuda Police Service on 247-1739 or call the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.

Witnesses can also reach out and speak with a police officer they are comfortable with.
