Police investigate stabbing on Front Street

A man is in stable condition after a stabbing at The Front Yard in the early hours of Sunday.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said officers were near the Front Street bar when a fight involving four customers broke out inside the nightclub shortly after 3am.

Officers then saw a man wearing what appeared to be a blood-covered T-shirt mount a bike and leave the premises.

The spokesman said: “Police officers made inquiries at Front Yard nightclub and attempted to speak with patrons that were present.

“However, the officers were unable to obtain any information of evidential value regarding the incident or those involved.”

Police then attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after a man arrived with stab wounds.

The patient was understood to have sustained multiple injuries in the Front Street incident and is reportedly in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the matter and urged witnesses or anyone who can provide information to contact Pc Justina Watson, the investigating officer, on 295-0011.

The public can also use the anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.
