Police renew appeal into Cedar Park Road shooting in May
Police continue to investigate a firearms incident in which a man was shot outside a Devonshire home.
Detective Sergeant Odessa Philip, who is leading the investigation, commended those who had come forward to assist.
She added: “However, we believe there are others out there, particularly residents of Cedar Park, who may have seen or heard something on the night in question but have not yet reached out.”
The shooting on May 27 in the Cedar Park Road area of Prospect, just before 10.30pm, left a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital by private vehicle before police arrived.
It came days after police acknowledged tensions in the community, possibly linked to a firearm being discharged at Berkeley Road in Pembroke and again at the Southampton Rangers Sports Club.
The two incidents, which took place within a week, did not result in any injuries.
Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Sergeant Philip on 717-2193 or by e-mailing ophilip@bps.bm.
Witnesses can also call 211, the main police number, 295-0011, or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers line, 800-8477.
Ms Philip said: “No matter how insignificant you think the information you have might be, it could prove useful to the investigation.
“We encourage you to please contact us via any of the options mentioned and help to bring the person or persons responsible for this threat to the safety and wellbeing of your community to justice.”
