Government schools will be holding virtual open houses for pupils planning to enrol in September.

According to the Ministry of Education, open houses will take place on the Zoom video-conferencing app and will be recorded and uploaded onto the Bermuda Public Schools YouTube channel and Facebook page.

The online events begin next week and continue through to the end of January.

Interested persons will have the opportunity to ask questions before and after the sessions via a feedback form posted on the social media channels.

Schedules for the Open Houses can be found on the Ministry of Education’s website (www.moed.bm) as well as the Bermuda Public Schools Facebook page.

Commissioner of Education, Kalmar Richards said: “We invite parents and guardians to visit our schools virtually and meet school leaders and key staff members. Ask questions and leave confident that your children will be in good hands.”

Diallo Rabain, the Minister of Education, added: “I am encouraging families to participate and ask questions during the virtual open houses in order to prepare for the upcoming school year.

“The public is also reminded that public consultation on proposed parish primary schools is ongoing and the consultation document is available at www.moed.bm.”
