BAMZ highlights our connections to the sea on World Oceans Day

First Prev 1 2 Next Last

The Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo celebrated World Oceans Day on Saturday, by putting on a host of activities highlighting Bermuda's connection to the sea.

Visitors, who enjoyed free admission to the facility, were able to take part in a ‘Get Salty' breath-holding competition and ocean-themed crafts, and also learn about ocean resources and the need to conserve them.

A number of local organisations took part in the event, including Government's departments of Conservation Services and Fisheries, BIOS, the Lionfish Task Force, the Sargasso Sea Alliance, the Ocean Support Foundation, Bermuda Ocean Explorers, Greenrock!, 5 Gyres, Blue Halo, Dolphin Quest, BUEI and the Marine Debris Task Force.
