Bermuda make strong start to World Challenge
Bermuda took part in the FEI International Equestrian Federation 2013 World Dressage Challenge at the weekend. The aim of the competition was to give the less experienced dressage riders who, under normal circumstances can’t take part in international dressage competitions, the opportunity to compete at the top level without having to leave their own country. The competition is currently divided into geographical zones, made up of between four and six countries.Bermuda, the very first country to compete this year, is classified in Zone 10, and competes against Trinidad, Barbados, Cayman, Jamaica and Haiti. All riders are judged on the same tests and by the same Ground Jury within each geographical zone.Bermuda’s riders acquitted themselves admirably on Saturday with good scores, and are in a strong position at this early stage of the event.Team members for Bermuda are: Dawn Fox on Lancelot, Zoe Oleksak on Limited Edition, Ashley Gibbs on Landtango and Michelle Ingham on Roseland. For more details and results are available at www.bermudadressagegroup.com.
