Two-day event set for Vesey Street

Lesley Cox is expected to compete this weekend

The Bermuda Equestrian Federation will hold its Hunter/Equitation Show at the National Equestrian Centre this weekend, featuring the Island’s top junior and adult competitors.

Action will begin at 8.30am tomorrow with hunter over fences and under saddle classes in the morning before competition moves to pony classes in the afternoon. Sunday action, which begins at 9am, will see the flat classes of equitation and equitation jumping. A total of 59 riders will compete on 47 horses during the two-day event.

The organising committee of Michael Cherry, Ian Truran and Bettina Truran have been hard at work putting the show together, with Robyn Baechler of Canada coming in as the judge for the show while Ian Truran is the course designer.

Admission to the event is free on both days.
