The final RES Spring Show Series No 3 gets under way at Ocean View Farm, St Mark’s Road, in Smiths this weekend.

The organisers said the venue, which Ralph Terceira made available, would be especially timely as it would allow riders to compete on grass ahead of next month’s Ag Show.

Along with the regular hunter/jumper and equitation classes, as well as the special Hunt Club Classes, the RES show will feature a Pleasure Driving Open Single carriage class consisting of two or four-wheeled vehicles capable of carrying a passenger.

“This always proves to be a crowd pleaser as drivers show up with beautifully turned out carriages,” said Leila Madeiros, one of the organisers of the series.

“With this being the final of the three shows, championships and prizes will be awarded in several classes.”

The show starts at 8.30am on both days.
