This weekend’s America’s Cup event could prove to be wet for both spectators and participants, according to early forecasts.

As of last night, the Bermuda Weather Service is reporting that while both Saturday and Sunday will have sunny periods, showers are also expected with the possibility of lightning early in the weekend. Conditions are generally expected to improve as the weekend progresses, with only one or two showers expected on Sunday.

Winds are expected to be light on Saturday, settling northerly during the day, while winds are expected to be light to moderate on Sunday.
