Arts and culture in focus at creatives conference

An artists’ forum at the weekend will cover topics from the teaching of Bermuda culture to the island’s cultural policy.

The event will also include talks on the Bermuda Arts Council and cultural expression.

Invited guests from arts and creative communities will attend the event in the Spanish Point Boat Club at 2pm on Sunday.

But the public can watch the conference live on the Department of Culture's Facebook page.

The Bermuda National Cultural Policy can be downloaded online from here.

Ernest Peets, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, will open the conference, which includes presentations from Jennifer Phillips, Shanna Hollis, Mitchell “Arijahknow Live Wires” Trott, Diamond Outerbridge, Jessica Dill, TeAnn Hassell and Milton Raposo.

There will also be live entertainment by local artists.
