The Bermuda Police Service will hold community meetings next week with residents in Sandys and Southampton.

Western area commanders will update residents on policing activities over the past 12 months and listen to their concerns and priorities for the community.

A meeting with residents of Southampton will be held on May 7 at Vernon Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church Hall from 6pm to 8pm.

On May 8, the police will meet with residents of Sandys at St James Church Hall from 6pm to 8pm.

A meeting was held yesterday with Warwick residents.

Inspector Cerepha Bridgeman, second-in- charge at Somerset Police Station, said: “These meetings provide an important opportunity for open dialogue between the Bermuda Police Service and the public.

“We look forward to sharing updates on our work and hearing first hand from the communities we serve.”

The BPS encouraged residents of the western parishes to attend and participate in the talks.
