California search ongoing for woman from Bermuda
A 27-year-old woman understood to be a Bermudian has been reported missing in California.
Tiffany Slaton, who represented the island at archery in 2017, was reported by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office as last known to be camping alone in the Huntington Lake area on April 20.
A post online said: “Her family has not heard from her since so they have filed a missing-person report with law enforcement.”
Ms Slaton was said to have gone on the hike with a green and grey tent, an electric bicycle and a stroller.
She is described as 5ft 10in, weighing about 125lb, with brown eyes and black hair.
Posts on social media from Fredrina Slaton, Ms Slaton’s mother, said she was a keen traveller who always shared her experiences with her family and that it was “very unusual for Tiffany not to call”.
The sheriff’s office notice asked anyone with any information on her whereabouts to call “immediately” at (559) 600-3111, reference case number 25-4458.”
