The Association of Filipinos in Bermuda will host a food fundraiser today to help people affected by two recent storms.
Typhoon Kalmaegi made landfall in the Philippines early last week, killing more than 220 people throughout the country and leaving more than 100 missing.
More than one million people evacuated their homes ahead of another storm — Super Typhoon Fung-wong made landfall in the country’s east coast on Sunday.
Association representatives will sell takeout containers of food for $30 each at Teafanny’s restaurant on Serpentine Road, between 11am and 3pm today.
Meals will consist of two meats and one rice option for customers.
