Police have launched a full investigation into the death of a woman in a Southampton residence on Saturday evening.

A police spokesman said the woman was found unresponsive in the home at about 6pm.

The spokesman said: “Shortly before 6pm on Saturday, April 11, police were dispatched to a Southampton residence following a report of an unresponsive female found inside.

“Officers secured the scene which was attended by an on-call doctor who subsequently pronounced the female deceased.

“At this time, foul play has not been ruled out. A full investigation has now begun.

“No further information will be provided until the results of an autopsy in relation to this matter are known.”
