One restores service after internet outage
Internet services have been restored to One Communications customers after a network outage that affected residents across Bermuda.
A spokeswoman for the company said teams would continue to monitor and optimise performance as the network returned to full stability.
A service outage affected the company’s customers in “various parts of the island”, the business acknowledged over the weekend.
Yesterday, it said about 15 per cent of its broadband customers had been impacted.
“We apologise for the disruption caused and acknowledge the frustration experienced by affected customers,” the spokeswoman said yesterday.
She said a review of the incident was under way as the company remained focused on delivering the reliable service its customers expected.
One Communications was asked about the cause of the outage and whether customers would be compensated for time without internet services but there was no response by the time of publication.
