Slow race challenges riders to master control over speed
CG Insurance championed road safety at this year’s Motor Fest by hosting a race to convey an important message — skill is measured by control, not speed.
The CG Slow Race, now in its fourth year, challenges motorcycle riders to navigate a course as slowly as possible while maintaining balance and control.
Participants are disqualified if their feet touch the ground and are successful when demonstrating patience, precision and confidence.
CG said the event had become a signature feature of Motor Fest, providing an opportunity to promote safe riding habits in an engaging and memorable way.
Naz Farrow, the chief executive of CG, said: “At CG, we believe that road safety is a shared responsibility.
“While the slow race is a fun and entertaining event, it also reinforces an important principle: that responsible riding is about awareness, control and sound decision-making.”

Billy Dunn, the director of Motor Fest, said the event continues to align with the festival's broader objective of celebrating Bermuda's motorcycle culture while promoting responsible riding.
He said: “The CG Slow Race has become one of the highlights of Motor Fest because it showcases a different side of riding.
“Success isn't determined by speed but by balance, discipline and control.
“We appreciate CG Insurance's continued partnership and shared commitment to encouraging safe driving across Bermuda.”
CG Insurance said it supports programmes that encourage greater awareness and responsible behaviour on Bermuda's roads, helping to reinforce the message that “every journey begins with making safe choices”.
