Argus launches own eight-week challenge

Alison Hill, Argus Group CEO

The Argus Group announced the launch this week of “Get Up & Thrive”, an online wellness platform that offers team and individual challenges, activity tracking and other wellbeing activities.

“Get Up & Thrive” is part of the Thrive programme, Argus’s nutrition, fitness and wellness strategy aimed at improving the health of Bermuda’s workforce, which was launched in January.

In 2015, there will be three team challenges of eight weeks’ duration that offer groups of five to 11 friends, family members or employees the chance to unite and motivate each other around healthy goals. The first team challenge begins on March 16 and will track minutes exercised, steps walked and percentage of weight lost over the eight-week period ending May 10.

In addition, weekly bonuses and quick daily challenges introduce tips and tasks for individuals to try. Participants earn rewards for participating in challenges and become eligible for prizes and raffles.

The “Get Up & Thrive” platform (www.Argus.bm/Get-Up-Thrive) is user-friendly and offers participants a variety of challenges as well as the option to create their own challenge. Whether it is in a team, versus a friend or individually, there are challenges that fit every schedule and lifestyle.

“I have signed up for ‘Get Up & Thrive’ and encourage all Argus clients to do the same,” said Alison Hill, the chief executive officer of the Argus Group. “Competition is a great motivation to get healthy, and working towards a goal makes getting fit fun.

Participants can create a programme to match their schedule and personal goals, which makes this practical for everyone. At Argus, we believe that even small efforts made every day can improve wellness. When fitness is fun and easy, everyone can thrive.”

Individuals interested in participating in the first team challenge must register before the challenge begins on March 16.
