Two goals in the first ten minutes helped Budgies maintain their 100 per cent start to the season as they eased to a comfortable 4-0 win over Canaries at the National Sports Centre yesterday.

Jasmine Patterson bagged her sixth goal of the season to start the rout after seven minutes, with Francesca Cacace doubling the lead two minutes later.

Ashley Fox wrapped the match up shortly before half time, with Jaselle Davis adding a fourth with an hour gone.

In the second game of the day Wildcats narrowly beat Longtails 1-0. A close affair was settled early by Ryce Trott’s penalty corner in the eighth minute.

Budgies have a bye-week coming up, with Saturday’s games pitting Bluebirds against Canaries at 10.45am, with Ravens taking on Swallows at 2.15pm.
