Happy marshmallow day

If you search the internet you’ll find there is pretty much a weird or wacky holiday to celebrate on every day of the year. Yesterday was National Marshmallow Toasting Day.So before the summer heat disappears completely, why not sample some of these marshmallow-based treats found on www.cooks.com?Three-minute peanut butter marshmallow fudgeIngredients: 2 c sugar, ½ c milk, 8 oz jar peanut butter, 8 oz jar marshmallow creme. Directions: Cook sugar and milk on stove until boiling. Boil exactly three minutes. Add peanut butter and marshmallow to sugar-milk mixture immediately. Fudge will start to harden quickly. Mix well and pour in greased pan.Marshmallow fruit dipIngredients: 1 pkg Dream Whip, ½ c milk, 8 oz cream cheese softened, 1 small jar of marshmallow fluff. Directions: In mixing bowl beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Make Dream Whip with ½ c milk according to package directions. Mix two together.Add jar of fluff and mix all thoroughly. Serve with slices of fruit, like strawberries, cantaloupe and pineapple, to dip.Magic marshmallow crescent puffsCrescent puff ingredients: 1 can of Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls, 2 tbs sugar, 1 tbs flour, ½ tsp cinnamon, 2 tbs butter, melted, 8 large marshmallows for each crescent roll, Ungreased large muffin pan. Glaze: ¼ c powdered sugar, ¼ tsp vanilla, 1 to 2 tsp milk.Directions for crescent puffs: Heat oven to 375°F. In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Separate crescent roll dough into eight triangles. Dip one marshmallow in melted butter; roll in sugar mixture. Place marshmallow on wide end of triangle. Roll up, starting at wide end of triangle, to opposite point. Completely cover marshmallow with dough and firmly pinch edges to seal. Dip one end of the puff into remaining butter, placing butter side down in muffin cup.Repeat with the rest of the marshmallows. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from muffin cups and cool on wire racks.Glaze: In a small bowl blend the powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency and pour evenly over warm rolls.
