PwC Bermuda is to move into new offices next month on the fourth floor of Washington House on Church Street.

In a statement, the professional-services firm said the move would enable its 200-plus professionals “to operate from a purpose-built, future-focused workspace designed for flexibility to support anticipated growth of the firm in Bermuda”.

The company will be leaving its current home in Dorchester House, another Church Street office building, which is up for sale at a price of $3.75 million.

Arthur Wightman, leader of PwC Bermuda, said: “In the coming decades, disruptive innovations will create new industries and business models; how our people communicate, collaborate and work will be impacted greatly by new technologies, data analytics and social networks.

“With all of that, traditional career models are becoming a thing of the past as our people are seeking new roles and ways of working that lend themselves to the change that we are both seeing and anticipating.

“As a leading employer, we wanted to create the best environment for our people to thrive now and into the future. And as they thrive the value that we deliver to our clients, markets and the wider community supports our objectives and our brand.”

PwC has worked to integrate organisational values and strategic priorities into the design of its future-focused workspace.

The firm has applied several design principles:

• Provide a timeless, future-proofed flexible design.

• Provide healthy, secure and safe environments for its people.

• Provide physical environments that support business process, firm values and behaviours.

• Enable our staff to work wherever, whenever, by leveraging mobile technologies.

• Substantially reduce our carbon footprint.

• Eliminate underutilised space and reduce lease, capital and operating costs.

Lesley Cox, human capital leader, PwC Bermuda, said: “Progressive thinking around our talent strategies is very much at the heart of why we are making this move.

“To lead requires a distinctive commitment to our people and we believe that our new workspace will help to contribute to our goal of attracting and retaining the best professionals, who in turn deliver the highest levels of value to our clients.

“There is a palpable sense of excitement around the office and we are all looking forward to being on the same floor in a light, open plan and flexible environment.”
