My mail is missingMay 18, 2011Dear Sir,There is something that has been bothering me for some time.This Christmas we did not get as many cards as we usually do. I have checked with my relatives abroad and also here in Bermuda and they all said they sent a card. At Christmas it is less expensive not to seal the envelope and often people do not put return addresses on the back of the envelope. Now my question is: “What has happened to all those cards and letters? Do they just get thrown out”? I cannot believe that it is not against the law to not deliver the mail. The sender has paid postage and then they do not get their letters delivered.I would very much like to have an answer to this question. Is the post office full of old letters or have they all been disposed of? I would have thought that was a criminal offence taking into consideration that it might be a very important document or some extremely bad news that needed a quick response.LLPembroke
