Show commonsense
August 12, 2011
Dear Sir,
I was shocked at today's headline in The Royal Gazette, 'Union says bus driver must be reinstated'. Anyone who refuses to have a drug test sends a clear message, and should certainly not be driving a public bus. What is the union thinking about?
Same page, same day, the Union raising its ugly head again enforcing an overtime ban at the docks. Surely they are bright enough to realise that non-productive time is more than compensated for by the many hours of overtime the dock workers enjoy. Why don't the workers show some backbone and stop this nonsense.
I suppose these unions have to do something to justify the huge amount of money they have collected (unaudited), but I wish they would show some common sense.
