October 21, 2011Dear Sir,The Department of Tourism needs to take notes on the cliff diving video. That was one of the best videos I have seen that could be used in marketing Bermuda as a tourist destination. It was exciting, beautiful and made me want to go to Bermuda, even though I'm already here.Unfortunately, the department is made up of too mature a demographic, on the top end. If we want to see tourism in Bermuda improve, we need to let the “neXt generation” take the lead, instead of encouraging them to follow in the footsteps of those with the higher PS levels.As a young Bermudian eager to improve Bermuda's second economic pillar, sadly, I have been turned down several times by the Department for employment.I assure you pretty soon the entire department will have to step down as young, vibrant and energetic individuals perform a hostile takeover of the industry for the sake of Bermuda's tourism product.TOURISM'S X-FACTORDevonshire
