October 27, 2011Dear Sir,The Independents can form the next government; all we need are good men and women with integrity who will put Bermuda first and not themselves nor only business executives nor have our affluent elders sell off our birthrights to the highest bidder. We can't preach one set of rules for some and another set for others. The fundamental wrong ideology is seeing so many of the elected MPs, now One Bermuda Alliance MPs, last year this time downright slamming the likes of Pettingill, Crockwell, Hunt et al for leaving the UBP and not resigning their seats and using their UBP seats to form the BDA. Those same ones did the same, and now it's supposed to be OK because, it is all about defeating the PLP. No Mister, wrong is wrong.The truth, mates, is: The OBA was formed from my support of the UBP and I was not given an opportunity to hear, read nor vote for the closing of the UBP doors. Just as I stood firm and protested with many of you all when Ewart brought the Uighurs to Bermuda, at the house of assembly. I stand with my conviction that I can never support the OBA. They took me for granted. The OBA MPs walked all over the opinions of many and made a decision for 47 percent of the voters from the last election minus some 68 nepotistic members. I can trust and will vote for any independent running. Check other countries that the Independents are successful. Party politics is killing Bermuda, not only the PLP as the Old Boys Associations wants you to believe.I don't want political leaders that owes child support, not does take care of his family or put his family first because I am sure they won't put mine first. Gibbons = UBP; Simons = UBP; Pamplin = UBP; Jackson = UBP; Moniz = UBP; Richards = UBP; Barritt = UBP; Pettingill = UBP; Crockwell = UBP; Hunt = UBP. How can I now trust them with the Bermuda Constitution when they all totally disrespected the oath they took to represent their own UBP constitution? I cannot yesterday, not today and definitely not tomorrow trust them. I'm voting for the Independent candidate.INDEPENDENT THINKERSt George's
