May 16, 2012Dear Sir,Today I sent an e-mail to “Talking Cowboys”, a one-hour interactive talk show programme that is produced live in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area in the United States. This programme, along with “Cowboys Break”, are the only two signature programmes that fans worldwide can call or e-mail questions to the hosts of the official NFL Dallas Cowboys Team.This was not my first interaction with these programmes and certainly it won’t be my last. My first was a phone call, which to the producer’s surprise, was the first from Bermuda. I spent about six minutes explaining and describing our beautiful island and culture to them, which I must say is five minutes more than they gave others.To my surprise, three of the four hosts has been to our island at least once and one (NFL scout Bryan Broaddus) had talked about having lunch with the then-Tourism Minister who showed up in a splendid pink tie (must have been Dr Ewart Brown). And today’s e-mail correspondence was another extension of that conversation.To all those who say our reputation is diminishing in the Tourism industry I got some encouragement for you, people still love this paradise Island of ours, and these two programmes are listened to in the Dallas/Fort Worth area via radio and World Wide Web on live streaming www.dallascowboys.com.
