June 21, 2012Dear Sir,I have seen it said time and time again by Progressive Labour Party ministers in the House of Assembly that the United Bermuda Party left the country in a deplorable state in 1998. They left us with a $15 million annual budget surplus and total debt of $163.5 million. The PLP racked up an annual budget deficit of $267 million last year and $1.25 billion dollar debt and counting. I remember 1998 and I am sure many or you out there do as well.
