Kindly gent saves the day

June 25, 2012Dear Sir,On Friday, my husband and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary. A fun-filled day was on the agenda, with a trip to H2O Watersports in Sandys. Upon our arrival, the weather decided not to cooperate, as it was gloomy and overcast. After discussing it, we decided to wait until a sunnier day to take a boat out from H2O. Although, we had made reservations, the kindly gent working there told us not to worry about it, and to come again another time. As we got in our car and turned the key — nothing. The battery was totally dead. The same gent from H20 was walking outside at the time and we asked if he had any booster cables. He promptly went to work finding a set, then ripping two different batteries from his boats all in attempt to get our car started. After all attempts proved futile, he began to call the local garages to see if anyone could come and assist us. But then, on our last attempt at the key — success, and the little engine purred! He saved our day, as we made our shindig arranged for that night. Now he didn’t have to help us. After all, we cancelled our boat ride last minute, which he didn’t charge us for, and when we tried to give him some money for all his trouble he refused. We cannot thank you enough, H2O Watersports, not only did you save the day, but you may also have renewed our faith in humanity a little. Bless you.MR AND MRS SHIELDSPembroke
