August 1, 2012Dear Sir,We will always have staunch PLP and staunch OBA supporters. However, with that said, this Island is at a crossroads, and we need to start looking beyond party for the benefit of, and hopefully a future for, this island. We need to look at who is going to bring a decent and ethical Government to the people. We have a situation where the current Government is not for the good, or the progress and advancement of Bermuda. Between greed, and perceived revenge, payback, and basic retaliation, we are all in waiting. Government is at a stalemate at every level, and this is causing instability. Local and foreign entities are all awaiting an outcome at the next election.Today we live in fear with guns and gangs, unemployment, government officials being unethical, to say the least, and the misuse and mismanagement of government power. We have a debt so large, even the US is flabbergasted. We have empty offices, homes and apartments; no one is buying real estate or anything else for that matter. It is inevitable that we have a change in government rule, and quite clearly and understandably, we need to end the PLP’s tenure, and allow the OBA their efforts to do what is good for Bermuda. With an OBA we begin to heal; with a PLP, it is clearly unstable, questionable and quite frankly, suicide.NUFF SAIDPaget
