Naysayers were right after all
October 23, 2012Dear Sir,I don’t like naysayers, people who proclaim doom and gloom and then are delighted when their dark predictions come true. And when the Progressive Labour Party first took office they were in their glory, harping on about how the end was nigh. When the first strange things began to happen, I passed it off. Cars for Ministers — ‘what was that about?’ I thought, but let it pass. The Bermuda Hospitals Board scandal ‘well, a passing mess’, I hoped. The crowning of Dr Ewart Brown and the ensuing unending contracts handed out to cronies, and now the realisation that Bermuda is in a total financial mess having managed to be successful in scaring away international business. I don’t like naysayers, especially when they are proved right.LIVING IN PARADISESmith’s
